I was summoned. I feel like my exercise is climbing the steps with the angel. When we arrived he said, “You know the routine, sit down and someone will come to talk with you.” It didn't take me long to see who was coming. I thought to myself, well, you can't miss this, the one approaching me, even from a distance. He said, “You know who I am.” I said, yes, the Angel Gabriel.
He smiled, his wings wide open. I freeze every time he opens his wings—it's breathtaking! He was visiting with me to let me know that in this world we will find good people and bad people. But he said, “Because of your calling we are trying to give you all we can to help you advance to your calling. It's a very powerful journey that you have. You have your friends to support you and that's what makes it worthwhile. Because you have them with you, you're not alone. But let's not forget these days that are ahead, the purpose of them.” So he gave me a Scripture, Micah 5:2. “As you read let it speak to you more about Christ's coming and about His birth.” He knew I was struggling in my mind not being familiar with the Old Testament and he said, “Let your mind be at ease. When you find it and read it you will see. Focus on this chapter and what it has to speak into our lives now.”
So he wants me and all of us to not just read that chapter, but focus on that verse and what it speaks about Christ. Gabriel continued, “But there is more to come yet. When we say, we will see you again; we will see you again because we're not done with you. Every time we see you we give you a piece of us. But those who are helping you will also be blessed because what you are doing is being obedient, the heart, mind and spirit in one accord. It is not for you to keep, it is for you to release it. So, clear your mind. Clear your heart. Let not anything trouble you. Just go forth and you will see. You must try to do the best you can to clear your mind, to have the mind of Christ. Not your mind, but the mind of Christ. We speak about that but do we really understand it? I will see you soon.”
Ruben: I am trying to grasp what they're saying, but is that all? Give me more! When they say, we'll see you again, it's like they leave me hanging, and I'm trying to search. I guess that's part of it, I have to do my part. I have to search, have to seek and seek and seek. Not everything can be given—you've got to make an effort. Get up, move around—got to make an effort, do something—cry out, shout, ‘what is it? I need help!’ We want God to make everything simple, not have to strain our mind because our mind is so delicate—it's our mind and not Christ's mind! But back to Gabriel's wings—WOW! WOW!! They just swoosh! He was as glad to see me as I was to see him. Can you imagine when he wraps them around me to embrace me? The other thing, when he opens his wings there is an aroma that comes forth.
