Note: This is not a Summons message. It came about unexpectedly during a typical conversation with Ruben on January 28. When he has been summoned to Heaven to meet with someone and receive a message for The Journey, I begin to transcribe that message and send it out within twenty four hours after he releases it to me. However, these “spontaneous” messages are different. He has given me liberty to, as he says, “put it together” and send it out when I feel led. During these times he often is in and out of the Spirit, so I really do have to put it together in a way that it flows. With the home going of so many recently I suddenly felt to get this message out. For those who have lost a loved one, and for those currently walking through such a time I hope the message will give strength, comfort and peace.
Since the beginning of the new year we have personally walked through the valley of the shadow of death with those close to us. We being Ruben, my husband and myself. In most of these instances those whom we lost had lived a full life, were walking with the Lord and were ready to go and be with Him. In one instance though that was not the case. So the question arises: What is your will?
For The Journey and Ruben,
Judy
What is the will of the family members and close friends of the one who is dying?
What is the will of the one facing the crossing of the Jordan?
What is God’s will?
Family members in particular face this question when a loved one is dying. The loved one’s condition is critical, yet we still want them to live. We must ask ourselves what is the purpose we want them to live for? Do we really want them to suffer more, see them in a helpless state? Are we being selfish in wanting to hold onto them rather than letting them go? It is a sure thing that we will all face the loss of a loved one, and we will walk alongside others to comfort them in their time of loss. “Which one of us will live forever? We are all mortal, terminal, for we will all one day die. Which one of us would ever escape our appointment with death and dodge our own funeral? Pause in His presence.” (Psalm 89:48 TPT).
We all will die eventually one way or another, even children. Children who’ve not had a chance to live their lives. It’s not fair. It’s not right. Oftentimes we think they have not yet fulfilled their destiny, but only the Father can know that. “Good people pass away; the godly often die before their time. But no one seems to care or wonder why. No one seems to understand that God is protecting them from the evil to come. For those who follow godly paths will rest in peace when they die.” (Isaiah 57:1-2 NLT).
So should we be angry if we’ve prayed and asked God for a miracle and our prayer is not answered? But in our prayer did we ask, “Father, what is Your will? That I might understand, that I might accept and release them into Your hands with the peace in my heart that comes when I know Your will, not mine.” Even Yeshua said, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will,” (Matthew 26:39 NKJV), that His destiny might be fulfilled.
Yeshua’s mother went through all of these emotions and questions in her heart as she watched and heard all that was happening to her son. She loved him! She wanted him to live. He was miraculously given to her by God to nurture and raise. Why was God allowing this terrible, unthinkable thing to happen? She didn’t understand what He meant when He said, “The Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men, and they will kill Him, and the third day He will be raised up.” (Matthew 17:22-23 NKJV). Yet she knew she must surrender her will to that of the Father who had given this Son to her; but not only to her, to the whole world.
It’s hard for us when we lose a loved one. But when we have fulfilled our destiny, then it is time. And when one who is born again, has loved and walked with God faces that time in their life; there is a knowing deep within, and a longing and readiness to depart this life and return to the Father. Yes, we will weep and mourn our loss for a time, but we have these beautiful promises: “Now also we would not have you ignorant, brethren, about those who fall asleep [in death], that you may not grieve [for them] as the rest do who have no hope [beyond the grave]. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will also bring with Him through Jesus those who have fallen asleep [in death].”
(1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 AMPC). And “Precious in the sight of the LORD Is the death of His saints.” (Psalm 116:15 NKJV).
Therefore, we press on. We live for today, for tomorrow is not promised to any of us, but we have today. We stay faithful today. Not just for ourself, but for the Father. And we say, “Father, I thank You for today. I do not have my spouse, or parent, or friend, brother, sister, or child now, but I thank You for today because I know that I will see them in Heaven.” So the most important thing is that you and your loved ones know without a doubt that they have accepted Christ as Savior and Lord.
(Ruben was hearing the voice of Billy Graham at one of his crusades giving the invitation to come forward to receive Christ as Savior. He said, “O, my gosh! When I’m in this atmosphere of the Spirit—I was in a crusade with Billy Graham in Heaven! His voice echoes from Heaven into the earth! Just like Elijah, Elisha, Ezekiel, John Paul Jackson! All those voices still reach out, they are still speaking to us today from Heaven! Why? Because that’s part of the message they release, and now it echoes and echoes and echoes in the atmosphere.”)
So this message came from Billy Graham through Ruben. He said that as he released what he was hearing it was as if he was caught up and standing right behind Billy Graham on the platform as he was speaking, and it was like he was reaching out to the people on the earth with that message, even extending his hands toward earth. So with the other names he mentioned above and all who have come forth and shared with Ruben messages for The Journey that we’re all reading, it’s like their words are going from Heaven and reaching into the earth; not only through Ruben, but their voice goes into the atmosphere. Just as our voice when we pray, and unanswered prayers of the saints from generations and generations throughout time are still before the Throne and moving in the atmosphere. They never die, the words never die. Selah.
